At 24 mph, dropping a point per m inute through the multitude of rock gardens was the best anyone could do: Cayer, Madore, Neff, Claxton and even tua l A High Point winner Eric Mc Eac hern all dropped 16 poi nts each. The last 7 -m il e section was nearly as difficu lt , with a mix of tig ht, rocky and wet trails. Agai n, Cayer, Madore and Neff lost one point for each mile, with seven each. After tally ing it all up , Cayer came o u t on to p w i t h a 33 -p o in t ca rd. Other than th at , it was a pretty uneventful day, and I j ust kept chargi ng along ." A 2 50 -cl ass rider Er ic McEachem went home with the big A High Point trophy for his 38-point effort. In the B classes, 250cc rider Tim Bak er nailed down the B High Point with an outstanding 46 - point score, wh il e 200cc -class ri de r M att Est es ro osted his wa y to the C High Point with a 24 on the sho rte ne d C cou rse.
