crew spent most of the day watering the track, due to droughtlike conditions in the area. As luck would have it. just as the watering was done, the track got hit by a huge thunderstorm that dropped several inches of rain on the freshly watered course. With the storm's passing, the sun came back out, and the crew went back out to try to scrape whatever mud they could from the track. It was a little muddy for practice, but it started to dry out by race time. Shawn Brink once again swept both motos in the 50cc Production class. David Lowery took second in mota one, and Trevor Rockwell placed third. In moto two, Lowery ended up fourth and Rockwell was second. Tim Batanian took third place in the second moto. The overall win went to Brink, with Rockwell second and Lowery third. A few competitors showed up to race the 50cc Open class, but only one was brave enough to go out in the mud. Tony Desarro was that man, and he won the class. Trevor Vines came into this round looking to pad his points lead a little in the Mid-Size Production class. With a fresh top end in his bike, Vines was ready to do battle. He took the early lead in the first mota and never looked back, crossing the finish line first, ahead of Matt Miller and Brian Lepley. Moto two looked familiar, with Vines once again out front and getting the race win. This time Shane McMillan took second and Miller was third. Vines, of course, got the overall, with Miller second and jim Britton third with 5-4 moto finishes. Two racers signed up to race the Mid-Size Open contest. Marc Bianucci and josh Powell swapped moto wins, with Bianucci coming out on top in moto two, thus giving him the overall win. The Clutch class had its usual cast of characters. P.j. Dylewski was there, so he won - both motos, to be exact. However, there was some racing behind him. In the first go, Dan Nowakowski was in line behind Dylewski, running in second. Brain George got a bad start and had to work his way through the pack, which gave Nowakowski some breathing room. George ran out of time and couldn't catch the secondplaced Nowakowski and settled for third. In moto two, Dylewski once again got the holeshot. This time George was right behind him, and the duo separated themselves from the pack. George stayed close but could never get Dylewski in a position to make a pass. Nowakowski finished third. Come trophy time, Dylewski got the gold, George took the silver, and Nowakowski brought home the bronze. The series next moves to Pierpont, Ohio, on September 10. This will be the final round of this exCiting series. RESULTS SO PROD: I. Shawn Brink (Han); 2. Trevor Rockwell (Han); 3. David lowery (Hon); 4.
