Friday Night Motocross Series Gravity Park Wolf Leads the Pack By PETE EMME CHILTON, WI, JUNE 17 tadiumcross under the lights on a Friday night doesn't get any better than this. Gravity Park in Chilton, Wisconsin, hosted the Friday night prequel to the sixth annual Amateur Stadiumcross Championships. where plenty of cash and S national championship-size trophies were available to racers. The 12Scc A and 2S0cc A-class racers were treated to 200percent payback, while the Vet and Quad A classes were treated to IOO-percent payback. More than 180 riders were on hand Friday evening ,as temperatures hovered in the low mid-70s all night. With prime weather came a prime track, as Scotty Biese and his crew prepared the supercross-style track to perfection. Zach Wolf took charge early on in the 12Scc C division, as he led 20 other eager riders to the first turn. Jesse Wunderlich ran second, but Jake Carpenter soon came knocking, while Wolf extended his lead. Wolf had his Kawasaki way out front when Carpenter took over second from Wunderlich. Wolf checked out with the big first-mota win. Carpenter, Wunderlich, Justin Rohde and Nick Hall rounded out the top fIVe. The second moto saw Wolf out front once again, giving a clinic to his fellow riders as to how to score two perfect mota wins. Wolf took both of his aces to the overall, while Rohde finished strong in the second mota with second and second overall. Rounding out the top five were Wunderlich (3·4), Carpenter (2-S) and Ryan Kyllonen (6-3). Aaron Remter and Phelan Stillman battled it out in the SScc Junior class. Remter got out front early on, with Stillman charging from behind. Andrew Kost held down third, while Kyle Kuhn and Trevor Campshure battled it out for fourth. Remter charged through the whoops to keep his edge on Stillman, who cut into the Kawasaki jockey's lead, but he ran out of real estate and Remter took the first-mota win. Remter and Stillman were once again at the point in the second stanza, with Stillman getting the edge on his Yamaha and scoring the overall win with his 2-1 tallies. Remter (1-2) settled for second overall. Kost rode to consistent 3-3 scores for third. Kasey Otis had his Yamaha YZ2S0F chugging ahead of the 12Scc Junior class. Otis spends most of his summer at Gravity Park, and he knows the track well - well enough to go I-I. Running a close second was Dylan DeClerc, and Carpenter was third. Travis Erdmann fended off the big 4S0 of Matthew McGrath to win the 16-29 class, which is new to Gravity Park, combining the Sportsmen (16-24) and Masters (Over 2S) classes. Erdmann went I-I for the overall. Several other riders scored back-to-back mota wins: Brandon Holmes showed everyone why he's going to Loretta Lynn's this summer as he aced the Pee Wee Junior class; AJ. Woller did the same in the Pee Wee Open division; Andrew Kost ran up front in the 65cc division; Brandon Crevier did likewise in the S5cc Open class; Matthew Maier scored wins and some cash in the 125cc A and 250cc A divisions; and Matthew McGrath tallied a I-I score for the overall in the 2S0cc B class.
