~ Happ.nings In Motoccy.ilng Harley Dealer liive!i 'to a liood I:au!ie The Boys & Girls Club of VolusiaiFlagler Counties in Florida has renamed its building the "Rossmeyer Family & Holly Hill Center" in honor of Bruce Rossmeyer, CEO of I 0 Harley-Davidson locations, including the famed Daytona Beach and Ft. Lauderdale locations. The ceremony took place on May 25. during a dinner at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. Showing a strong appreciation for Rossmeyer's charitable donation of $100,000 over the next fIVe years, the center has been renamed the Rossmeyer Family & Holly Hill Center. Rossmeyer is the first donor to receive this recognition since the center's opening in 1996. His donation will be placed toward the Boys & Girls Club's endowment, The Children's Fund, whose goal is to build the fund to a level where earnings on investments can be used to fund operations. The fund is currently at $250.000 and will increase to $350,000 after Rossmeyer's donation. In addition to his charitable donation, Rossmeyer is also reaching out to other members of the business community, encouraging them to make donations to centers in their local communities. "This is a very generous commitment of financial support by Bruce Rossmeyer to the Boys & Girls Club's endowment, known as The Children's Fund, and will establish a foundation to build for the future," said Joe Sullivan, chief professional officer of The Boys & Girls Club of VolusiaiFlagler Counties. "Bruce Rossmeyer and any other supporters of The Children's Fund know that it is a gift that will keep on giving and allow the Club a stable source of operational support." The mission of The Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people. especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their fullest potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens and leaders. The Boys & Girls Club serves boys and girls ages 6 to 18, providing a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring. adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character-building experiences; as well as a sense of hope and opportunity. The Boys & Girls Club of VolusiaiFlagler Counties has a 12-year tradition of serving youth in both counties. The organization currently reaches more than 2200 at-risk children at eight club sites. KTM and Maxxi!i liD Sliding On May 21, KTM held a Supermoto Demo Day at Lorain Speedway, near KTM's U.S. headquarters in Amherst, Ohio. With the help of six local KTM dealers, free test rides were offered to any qualified rider throughout the day on Lorain's asphalt oval and karting tracks. All of the motorcycles were fitted with Maxxis' Presa Supermotard-specific tires. ApprOXimately 80 riders attended, riding the Maxxis-mounted KTM 450 and 525 SMR Supermoto bikes, and they all left with smiles on their faces.
