Finally Scotts Performance Products has released
the long-awaited steering damper kits for the
I999-200S Suzuki GSX-R I00 and 2004-200S
Yamaha RI sportbikes. The kits come with everything needed to bolt a Scotts steering damper right
onto your bike, and having a steering Stabilizer
never hurt anyone.
These new tires feature a unique, slightly
raised surface matrix that will serve as a pattern to facilitate hand cutting, a distinct innovation that has a patent pending. Designed
to eliminate chatter and provide excellent
grip, these tires also deliver nimble handling
for quick turn transitions. A Wide-footprint
front tire supplies excellent rider control and
feedback. As would be expected, these new
Supermoto tires are full-on racing slicks and
are not DOT legal. The rear tire is sized to
work equally well on both 4.25- and 5.00inch wheels. These new tires definitely set
the pace in 5upermoto tire performance.
The front tire comes in size I25/70R17,
while the rear is a 160/60R 17.

Bigger Is Better
Ron Wood Racing Products has developed a long-skirt
piston and cylinder kit for the five-valve Yamaha YZF450
to prevent piston rocking and breakage under severe
race conditions. This eliminates the piston skirt from
coming out past the bottom of the cylinder at bottomdead-center, which is especially important in long-stroke
applications. An added benefit is better ring seal and
longer ring life for higher and more consistent horsepower. Sleeve material is high-quality aircraft aluminum
alloy, and it is made to tighter tolerances by CP Pistons.
