Kaylynn Kotlar was one of three CRFSO drawing winners at the annual AMA District 12 awards banquet in Massilon, Ohio. blues and rekindles the racing camaraderie among friends young and old. The annual banquet also sees the release of the upcoming season's racing schedules. which adds to the feeling of winter coming to an end for the more than 500 attendees. Twenty-six overall year champions were crowned on this night, and the top five from each class took the podium to celebrate their accomplishments in front of a packed house. Each class winner left with a new Dunlop tire, along with armfuls of other sponsor and district awards. Also. all I IS awards winners were pleasantly surprised when District 12 pointskeeper Connie Sickels announced they would all receive a free 2005 District 12 membership! Racers were required to enter a minimum of 10 races during the season to qualify for year-end awards. Urichsville, Ohio, native John Sluka was crowned the District Overall Bike Champion with a whopping 740 points. Sluka received an engraved silver-and-gold cup for his efforts. Another highlight of this year's festivities was the awarding of three Honda CRFSOs (Via random draWing) to racers who entered selected District 12 events throughout the 2004 season. Racers and families anXiously awaited the drawing, and applause rained down as the first winner was drawn: Nathan Edwards of Urichsville. Ohio! Kaylynn Kotlar of Thompson.
