Sannan got the best of the field at the start
of moto two, although he had McCormick to
contend with the entire moto. Sannan would
break free from McCormick, only to have the
Washingtonian come right back with some slick
moves and narrow the gap. In the end, San nan
narrowly beat the seasoned veteran for an
overall win with his 2-1 tally. McCormick (1-2),
Bunker (3-3) and Oregonians Anthony Cerruti
(4-4) and Casey Daugherty (5-5) followed.
There
were
several
impressive
Intermediate-class performers. such as
Oregons' Guy Tow and Matt Wilson and
Washington's Chris Johnson. Johnson and
Wilson exchanged moto wins in the 125cc
Intermediate class - with the Kawasakisupported Johnson getting the nod - but Tow
Matt Wilson contested three classes
at Salem, Oregon's Exposition Arena
and won two - the 2SOcc and Before
The Hill Intermediate classes - at
round three of the Winter MX
Challenge Series.
came out ahead of Wilson and Ian Maclaren in
the Before The Hill Intermediate class. Wilson
came right back to drop both Johnson and Tow
to second and third place overall, respectively,
in the 250cc Intermediate class.
Yamaha-mounted Travis McClinton was
impressive en route to the overall 125cc Juniorclass win. Stepping of( his normal yz 125 mount
and onto his older brother's YZ250F, McClinton
led fellow Yamaha rider Tyler 5chwentker and
Kawasaki rider Robby McCabe into the top
three in the day's largest class.
