SANDERSON CUFFORD, PA, OCT. 10 u st u nde r 300 of the most t alented motocrossers in AMA District 6 came out to the fast and technical Hurricane Hills racecourse to ea rn points and to see w ho wi ll be the fastes t ride r in th e district. This is a 21round se ries. and each track in the distr ict hosts tw o rounds to determine the best overall ride r in the district . Miles Mountain was added to this year's schedule but hosted only one round. Eric Sebastian t opped the 250cc O pen Pro/Expert podium at Hurri cane Hills' seco nd round , with 2-1 rides . Sebastian battled w ith vete ran Suzuki pilot Barry Carsten. In the ir first outing . Sebastian cam e o ut of the first turn with the lead. with Carst en and Tom Burt on in to w. When the leaders came to the Hurricane Hills "d inne r t able ," the top five were Seb ast ian, Carsten , Tyler Wit me r, Burto n and Caleb Miller. Sebastian and Carsten began the third lap by do ing the finish-line triple, m uch to the delight of the crow d . Sebasti an and Carste n slowly separated themselves fro m the re st of the field. Mean while, the battle for fourth w as brewing between Burton and Miller. Th ough Miller got wit hin stri king d istance several times , he failed to make a pass. On lap four, Witmer w e nt down , and Burton , Miller and C lint Johnson all advanced to third thr ough fifth . Carsten slowly chipped awa y at Sebastian's lead and was w it hin striking d istance by lap five. Carsten made the pass on the massive downhill ski jump and ducked under Sebastian in the follo wi ng corner to solidify the lead . Carsten quickly put so me d istance on Sebastian and took the checkered flag with a fo ur-seco nd advantage. Sebastian, Burt o n, Witmer and Jed Schappert rounded o ut the to p five. J How eve r, Ge orke did red eem himse lf by ta king the overall win in the 2S0cc Pro class. Zack Duch aine came to ride this weekend, ho lding down the fo rt fo r the Pit Posse camp . Duchaine was able to w in both his motes in the Pee Wee (7-B) class. He pulled do wn two so lid rid e s o n his Fo x-bac ked C o b ra a nd was fo llo w e d by Bodi e C o lange lo in sec ond and Corey Bal ko in t h ird .
