fo r t he win . In t he 25 0cc B class ,
Socal /66 INorte x Racin g/Cycra/MX Works backed jame s Hays was on the pipe! Hays has
laid was te to the 250cc B class several times
th is year. This day was no exception, as Hays
put his Ho nda C R2S0 ou t front early in both
motos and put in lap times t hat were on par
with if not better than those of most of the A
riders. Nex t year, the A class will hate to see
him ste p up, as he is sure to steal the money
from its pockets .
In the first mete. Hays was gone . Kawasaki
rid er Mike Sp ad afina d id a fine job on his
10<250, trying to keep Hays in chec k, but it was
not going to happen . Hays was in a league of his
own . Behind the m, another Socal ride r on the
move was Honda rider Morey Hawkins, w ho
finished the mota in third.
W hen th e ga te d ro pped for t he seco nd
moto, it loo ked like it was going to be more of
the same, but when the pack rou nded the first
turn, some of the riders went down. Hawkins
wa s left on the grou nd wi th a d islocated
shou lde r. Out fro nt, Hays was gone again, en
route to the moto and overall wins. Spadafina
again finished second for the mo to and overall.
Co ry Sharp finished third fo r the mota and
third overa ll.
Pe rhaps the fast est Soca l ride came from
Suzuki rider jacob Kenyon. It looked like he was
in a differen t time zone in the 85cc Senior class,
w in ning bot h mo to s go ing away. Be hind
Kenyon, Suzuki ride r Kyle Burtlle and Kawasaki
ride r Tyler Hayden finished second and third ,
respectively, for the moto and overa ll.
