knew just which rider was going to be in front whe n the pack came out from behind the trees or over the front tabletop. A couple of riders got a little too close, and Burrous went down , but he jumped right back up again. When the checkered nag dropped for the first moto, it was Koontz with the win and Skidmor e, Lucas, Miller and Jones in the second through fifth places. The second moto seemed like it was going to be a repeat of the first. Koon tz got o ut in front again, and once again the battle for second place involved the same riders - but this time the re were a fe w more adde d to the mix. Honda rider Came ron Harrod was running just beh ind the pack in the first mota, but th is t ime he made his way forwa rd and ran with t he pack. Burrous was not going to let anything or anyone get in his way this time; he held on for second, despite the battling bunch right on his tail. There was a lot of position-swapping going o n, but when the checkered flag dropped , it was Koontz w ith the win again, w ith Burrous second and Harrod in third . Overall, the victory went to Koontz , with second go ing to Miller and third going to Lucas. These ride rs rode hard this year and are going to make next year a very e xclting one for the 12Scc Novice class. RESULTS SO ( 4 -6) : I . Au sti n Bec ker (KT M) ; 2 . jace C a rl t o n (KTM); 3.
