CALHOUN, GA, JUNE 5
A nether Saturday night has come and gone,
/""\and almost 200 ride rs made the trip to Calhoun Supercross. The new track is bro ken in,
and some great racing made their trip worth wh ile. Let 's get a hot dog an d mo ve t o t he
stands before the sign goe s sideways .
The 50 (4-6) class was KTM territory. with
t he podium ruled by the orange crew. Bailey
Croom took top honors with a last-mo ta win.
Jufy Turne r turned on the gas to capture second
overall. Jarrett Pries t kept his head down to
earn the th ird spot.
When the gate dropped for the 50cc Open
crowd , they made the first turn a crowded
place . KTM rider Alec Riggins ruled the roost
with a first-mota win. Caleb Sullrvan didn't like
his fo urth -place Ilrst-moto finish, so he came
back and won the second stanza. Suzuki jockey
David Nizzar i was third overall with a steady
pair of motos.
In t he 6Scc (7-9) class , KTM-mounted
Timothy Thome took no prisoners, but he did
take two mota wins. Suzuki man Paul Nelson
kept tabs on Thorne for a pair of second-place
finishes . Blake Morel and used a good second
moto to take third .
D ustin Waters used his fast Suzuki to run
away with the 65cc ( 10- 1I) class. KTM rider
Cody Ha m mo nd did the deal fo r se co nd
overall. Kawasaki jockey Jacob Millwood to ok
third overall with a solid ride.
The 80cc ( 12-15) con test was Tyler Horn e
territory. The fast KTM pilot scored doub le
moto wins. Suzuk i ri der Jake W ilson took

Calhoun Supercross in Georgia,
taking three wins.
second overa ll. Yamaha-mounted Justin Morri s
too k the third podium spot .
The Youth division saw Horne win anoth er
one on t his evening, with tw o mota victori es .
Jeremy Pendley, on his Yamaha of Doraville yz,
took a solid secon d. Suzuki man Josh Scott kept
the hammer down for the last podium spot.
The 125cc C class is always a good one, but
on this night, som eone let the dogs out . Chris
Castle, o n his Fre ewh eeling Honda, kep t th e
rest off his back with two moto wins. Yamaha
rider Sam Sutheri n wa s steady a nd e arned
second overall. Suzuki jockey Josh Scott held on
for th ird overall.
In the 250cc C event, Robert McGrew scored
the overall. KTM rider Andrew Ke advick was
steady for second overall. Honda pilot Brandon
Anderson won the last mota to make up for the
first one and take the last step on the podium.
The Tyler Ho rne benefit co ntinued with two
more mota wins , in the 12Scc B eve nt. Blake
Hankins used h is Honda to secure se cond
overall. KTM pilot Matt Wasson was a ste ady
performe r for third overa ll.
Honda rider Blake Hankins won the Unlimited
Amateur overall. Wasson was second overall with
a solid ride . Je ff McCullough came dow n from
Idaho and rode his Yamaha to third overall.
The racing was top-notch , and everyone
seemed to have a great time .
