Loretta Ly nn's Amateur National Dual Qualifier Honey Lake Motocross Park La Paglia Takes the L ake cross th e finish line a head o f all t he other riders , and with that wi n Ford claime d the ove rall. La Paglia, however, went on to win the 125cc Stock and Modified ( 12- 15) classe s, as we ll as the 12Scc B Modified and 25Occ/Open B Stock and Modified classes. The KT M-dominated SO race had eight cc hopefuls going for gold. Cheyenne Wosick used her Travis Pastrana-inspired number·199 bike to claim the holeshot; con centrated behind her were Rowdy Broughton . Trav is Wos lc k. Chezney Wos ick and newcomer Ryan Tanturn . Ca lmly , Broughton took the le ad wh en Cheyenne fell victim to a misjudged jump; she re mounted in third , w hile Trav is used the oppo rtu nity t o lump Int o second place. H eading into th e double-jump section, La Paglia gained mome ntum, and the two started the first batt le for the front pos ition. Hinson w as putting in a good e ffo rt t o kee p hi s teammate at bay; when the two Suzukis came o ut of "Clubhouse Corner" and pre pared to de mo lish the uph ill (w hich, by all accou nts , keeps eve ry rider ho nest ), Hinso n fumb le d, an d his fau x pas gave La Paglia t he edge he need e d to take the lead. Hinson recovered , but not with enough time to put pressure on La Pag lia and r e ga in the le ad . La Pag lia do minated the rem ainde r of the race, taking the win.
