T he Moun t Verno n, Oh io, resident was on the gas all day. The Collegeboy class pro vided some great amaha-mou nted racing actio n. In moto o ne , Y Scott Darling got out fro nt, w ith an angry pack of talented riders behind him, scrambling for 46 SPTSMN 125 NOV, I. Chari;" Ilnnaeli... (Hen); 2. (CoA); 3. jell Gleason (Hon ). SPTSMN 250 NOV: I. jeff Down (Hus ); 2. Erk Forster (Ric); J . Ryan Jeff Andenon position. Scott was the man on the move , and he cha rged into second place , be hind Darling, w hile Mike TOlliver and Tony Doble got tangled going into the bowl turn and were both se nt to the gro und. John Mason thumpe d into the th ird spot. Scott was all ove r Darling on the last lap and finished a close second. In moto tw o, Tollive r put his RM into the lead, wi th Scott , Darl ing and Maso n pus hing hard. Scott executed a slick inside move dow n t he start st ra ight to take th e le ad an d t he n pulled away for the w in. Scott dominat ed the 12Scc B class, taking both mota wi ns. w ith Andy Sczy pta t a king second and Tony Do ble a secure third overall. Tony Robinson was anot her ride r sc o ring do uble-class wins . Rob inson took the 125cc A an d 250cc A wi ns and a ppeared to be the fastest rider of the day. Rob inso n borrowed a new RM250F four-stroke for his I25cc A-class ride and rea lly took a liking t o t he ye llow machi ne. Rob ins on had to fight off H o nd a thumper- mou nte d Jason Rogers all day.
