n a brilliant display of supercross riding, James "Bubba" Stewart
seemingly easily picked up his 17th victory in what is only his
third - and final - year on the 12Scc supercross circuit. It was also
the Chevy Trucks Kawasaki rider's sixth win of the year, putting
another exclamation point on his 2004 East Coast Supercross
title that he already wrapped up a couple of rounds ago. Stewart won
the Pontiac 12Scc East final by some 13-plus seconds and, while in
doing so, put on a spectacular aerial show for the 50,000 spectators.

slowed down the champ one bit.
"It was definitelya bummer to watch , but I had nothing to gain
by racing Indy Stewart said of his decision not to race two weeks
