It was also a good day for the Degarmos. A t the end of th e day, Neal Dega rmo Jr . had wo n hi s 250cc Novice clas s, and Neal Sr. had tak en the over all win in the Over 40 N ovice event. Ne al Jr. also p ut in one of the better rac es of the day as he tried to hold off Marcos Reyes in the Open event. N eal Jr. is k now n for hi s holeshots, an d he got bo th of them. bu t in m ota two Reyes hounded his every move for fou r la p s b efore finally ou t man euv ering Degarmo j ust afte r th e do wnhill section. D ak ota Garner inherited th e runner -up slo t, and he was able to ga in on Hu erta, but the moto ended with him in seco nd . Chris Cuero enjoyed his day at the rac es, wi nn ing both 65cc (0 -8) motos . Cu ero also took the overall in the 65cc Open clas s after placing second to Jake Gagne in moto one . Gag ne had tr oub les in m ot o two and dropped to eig hth , which dro pp ed him to fourth ov erall. Cuero won it , with Garret Jackson fin ish ing 3 -2 to earn second overall.
