Rayner flattened a tire on his little red-hot Honda, and Drake washed out. taking himself out of contention as well. It was another two-bike breakaway between Dunning and Basamania that set the torrid pace. Shipos worked his way up into the third position, with Tepas looking fast in fourth and challenging. Dunning (I· I) dominated the day with an ultrafast and smooth performance for first overall. Basamania (2-2) took second overall. Shipos (4·3) sailed home for third overall. Tepas (6·4) was served with fourth overall. and Carlson (5·5) used consistency to capture fifth overall. The new WNYMA exhibition class of Fast 50s put on an intermission race. on a mission to raise funds ror the John Uplinger fund. The number-one WNYMA Expert rider of 200 I, Billy Silva role, and his brother Bobby joined Mxride.com's Mark Klein, Corey Kandefer, and another six Fast 50 riders. along with a growing band of Fast 50 motocross-merry supporters, to generate a $250 50/50 raffle/purse.
