HONDA Rider's Club of America" Honda Riders Club of America and Mountain Adventures Honda Present the Great Smo~ Mountain Dualspod Tour By LARRY WOOSTER ROCK GLEN, NY, MAY II Round five of WNYMA racing was a live wire of action, despite early morning rains that created a "Mudders' Day" to remember at Silver Springs Racing. The high-caliber Wyoming County motocross facility attracted more than 120 riders the night before, the opening night of the Silver Springs Racing Nite-Cross Series. More than 300 riders thumbed their noses at the weatherman and Mother Nature and suited up for another great day of competition on Sunday. The early rains caused some delays; as a result, the normal WNYMA race format of two motos per class was altered to one longer mota for each class. This gave most of the riders all the track time they deserved, created some of the most exciting motocross action in recent memory, and saved a few mothers a few loads of extra gear to wash. The track's management staff even went the extra mile to provide some extra action by sponsoring a three-lap shootout at the conclusion of the WNYMA points races, and three fast riders took home new tires from Support Plus Racing and the Silver Springs Racing staff. There was also be a special Mother's Day Race, for any mothers in attendance. Sixteen Senior C riders sat poised in the starting gate, ready to rumble for those GRAND PRIZES!
