Older Doesn"t Necessarily Mean Slower
and began pushing, trying to find a way
around. These guys stayed right with each
other, but Heisler kept the advantage by exiting the turns a little faster, and he was able to
pull Thompson on the huge uphill sections of
Mill Creek. Heisler took the win, followed
closely by Thompson and then T.C Ughtsey in
third.
Moto two started out looking like a repeat
of the first, as Heisler got another perfect start,
with Thompson and Ughtsey right with him.
Thompson looked as though he had made up
his mind that he was not going to be a follower
this moto. On lap two, Thompson made his
move and passed Heisler. Ughlsey soon followed and moved up to second. Thompson
rode to an impressive moto win, followed by
Lightsey and Heisler. The overall went to
Thompson (2-1), followed by Heisler (1-3)
and Ughlsey (3-2).
The 50cc (7-8) class was great to watch,
as these kids like to air it out and push for
those moto victories. Dalton Horton was
absolutely tearing up the track on his Polini.

whoops. Horton was followed by Cameron
Byrd in second and Dylan Coleman in third.
Byrd and Coleman stayed close to each other
the whole moto, but Byrd held on to second
until the checkered fiag.
Mota two saw Horton out front again, with
Byrd and Coleman giving chase. Horton took
the win, followed by Coleman and Byrd. Horton took the overall with 1-1 moto wins, Coleman got the second podium spot with 3-2 finishes, and Byrd took the final podium spot
with 2-3 finishes.

Getting older is one of those things in life that
all of us have to do, but that doesn't mean we
have to slow down. Yamaha YZ250 rider Darryl Heisler proved this with an impressive
win in the Over 25 class. He also showed
the youngsters what he had in the Unlimited
Amateur class.
In the first Over 25 moto, Heisler pulled the
holeshot and walked away from the competition, crossing the finish line without so much
as a speck of dirt on his front number plate.
Jeff Elliot was second and Dave Crain third.
Moto two looked like a repeat of the first.
Heisler pulled out the holeshot again and led
the pack up the hill and off out of sight. When
they came back into view, Heisler had pulled a
three- or four.. bike gap on second, and he
never let up. Heisler was looking back in the
turns and over the jumps to see if he could
locate the second-placed rider, who was
nowhere in sight. Elliot and Crain battled for
the runner-up spot, with Elliot prevailing. The
overall went to Heisler, with Elliot second and
Crain third.
Heisler had his work cut out for him in the
Unlimited Amateur class. In moto one, Josh
Thompson moved into second, behind Heisler,

It was all girl power in the Pee Wee 50c (4-6)
division at round seven of the Perris Spring
Series, as Amber West spanked the competition. Carlos Rios III took the runner-up spot
once again, with a 2-2 score. Samuel Dabney
gained third overall after advancing to a
6-3 score, bumping back Derek Hayward
(5-4) and Joshua Hubner (4-7), who finished
out the top five.
Like an animal control officer after astray,
Tyler O'Neill was all over Frankie Salvatore in
the 125cc Novice class. However, O'NeiJI finished in the runner-up spot, ahead of Ryan
Cowell, who kept his distance from Austin
Eitel and Randy Adair.
With Salvatore out in front in mota two,
Adair placed his Pete Racing Honda in the
runner-up spot to land second overall. Eitel
improved to a third-place finish for third overall, while Cowell finished 3-4 for fourth overall.
O'Neill's hopes of a top-three finish were shattered after he finished seventh in moto two for
fifth overall.
Aaron Gwin claimed a win for RG3 and
John Burr Cycles with a 1-1 sweep of the
Schoolboy class. O'Neill has really stepped up
his game aboard his new CRs, and he finished
2-3 for second overall. Salvatore improved in
moto two, and his 4-2 score garnered third
overall in his second class of the day. Dean
Whitegon fell to a 3-5 score but pulled off
fourth overall, ahead of Randy Adair (5-10).
Jovan Pulgar nailed down the overall in the
50cc Stock (4-6) class with a 2-1 finish.
Pulgar swapped moto finishes with Jose Ceja
(1-2). who finished in the runner-up spot.
Josiah Gonzales did his best to advance in
both motos but finished out the top three with
his 3-3 score.
Andrew Frankos has stepped up to the
larger 60cc machines in the Beginner class,
and he stepped up to a 1- 1 sweep aboard his
KTM. Jackson Ryan slipped to a 2-3 score but
hung on to second overall. Nickolas Cervantes
(3-4) was third overall. Garrett Eckman finished with a 6-2 score, scoring fourth overall.
Sarah Price is no stranger to top-five Finishes
while dicing with the boys, and this time she
finished with a 4-5 score for the final top-five
spot.
After winning the previous round, Over 25
Beginner Rick Ellison (2-1) claimed another
win after losing the first moto to Mike Laney
(1-2). Jason Nishijima had a good view of the
battle. as he stayed close for a 3-3 score and
third overall.
In the Super Pee Wee class, no one could
touch Dane Silverlake, aboard his KTM. He
took both mota wins, while Tristan Post gave
chase in both motos for the runner-up spot.
Cyle Moskowitz finished third in moto two for
third overall on 4-3 scores, while Connor lombardi and Joshua Stark took the final two topfive positions.
