Hardrock Cycle Park 6849 NW. e25A Ocala. florida 34475 Phone' 352/732-6697 Website; IIt1p=/lluww.hardrockmx.rofn Directions: Hardrock Cycle Park is located at the north end of Ocala on C-25A, three-quarters of a mile south off SR326 (Exit 71 from 1-75). Clubs: IMSA (Hardrock Cycle Park membership required) Disciplines: Motocross, Hare Scrambles, Dirt Track General Admission: S] 0 (Saturday nights only) Track: The majn motocross track is approximately 1.3 miles long and has elevations of over 100 feet. This track is quite technical, with virtually every type of obstacle one can imagine. It is hardpack, with some loamy corners. The signature obstacle is the "Water Tower Jump," which is a 1aD-plus-foot hill with a jump trajectory of more than ] 00 feet. It also has several uphill step-ups, as well as some very fast downhill sections. Hardpack tires are recommended. Separate Pee Wee track. Facilities: Indoor restrooms with showers; more than 50 RV water and electric hookups (overnight camping without RV hookups is also allowed); plenty of pit space, with some trees for those hot summer days; an on-site partsand-accessories shop; snacks and drinks available for practice sessions, andA Full food menu is available at all races. Hardrock' also accommodates Vintage Motocross and Trials events by modifying the facilities for these specialized bikes. M.ajor Events: Florida Fall Classic. Florida State Championship Series, Florida Gold Cup Series, Florida Winter AM Series. Sunshine State MX Championship Series. Pan-AM Seniors Race, Yamaha Amllteur MX Series, AHRMA Vintage National, AHRMA Vintage Trials, and AHRMA Vintage Flat Track race. "Hardrock Cycle Park is a unique, 1aD-acre sports facility located in the heart of Florida. Its main attractions are the awesome National-caliber motocross track, a Vintage/Novice track and a Pee Wee track. In addition, there is a challenging hare-scrambles and mountain-bike course. Hardrock has been host to all of the top race programs in Florida. Hayden had a little tougher time in the Pro-Am main, but he emerged from a three- Fernley International Raceway way battle to take the win. Jonathan Heiden Frozen in Fernley Lee and Tyler Whitecotten. Hayden was back at the front in the 85cc class, also, but he had some fast company. Andy Goodwin made the best of it and took a close win, over Hayden, Heiden, Frankie Lee and Whitecollen. Hayden used another strong holeshot to lead the 65cc class, and he held it until the white-flag lap, when Ethan Gillim pinned it into turn three and held on to win by a wheel. Whitecotten was a close third, over Frankie Lee and Jake Lewis. Lewis would take the 50cc Chain class, holding off a late-race charge by Ian Keith. Ethan was third, with Nick McFadden fourth. Luke Baird was the first to lead the 50cc Shaft field but gave way for Bubba Neeley to lead the first lap. McFadden came to the front a lap later and held on for a photo-finish win over a fast-closing Dylan Douglas. Neeley was third, over Austin Hines and Baird. Results Short Track 50 SHAFT: I.
