Wenck followed in third, and Derek Gibson /XDUN.£OP @TOYOTA was fourth. In the 250cc A class, it was more of the same, as Raubs grabbed the holeshot in both motos and ran away with the wins. Kevin Holstein finished in the runner-up spot in both t{/'" Simply the bestforyour Dike. 'jZHij~ motos, and Wenck was a consistent third. After getting three out of four holeshots and winning all four of his motos, Raubs was happy with his consistent riding on the rough, slick track. "I was realiy glad with the consistency level on my laps: Raubs said. "It was a little dry-slick, but that's all part of racing; you have to get good on the dry and the slick." The best racing of the day came in the first mota of the Over 30 A class. Dana Hunt tried to hold on to the lead, in front of his brother Bryan. Dana was able to stay in front until the last lap, when Bryan made the pass and pulled away for the win. Bryan was unable to compete in the second moto after going down hard in the first moto of the Over 25 A class; that gave Dana an easy second moto and the overall class win. Results 50 JR: l. John Coen and Jeff Dirago (both former District 34 Pro-Expert racers) and their crew did a masterful job, and by Sunday morning the Diamondback track ~ was in perfect condition. The Pro-Expert classes were dominated by defending champion Carlo Caen, aboard his new Moroney's Cycle/Fast Hog KTM 250 SX. ... Caen had to fight for every inch of turf with National Pro Dave Ginolfi from New Jersey and Hunter Yamaha/Cassone Bakery/Motorex's Terry Finkle, the former champion. In the first 250cc A mota, Coen shot his KTM into the early lead, with Finkle hot on his heels. A few lengths behind, Andrew Pignotti had his hands fuJI with Mike Spear. Tom Hamilton, Ginolfi, Mark Janiscewski and Jacob Radulewicz were bunched up, probing for weaknesses. On lap two, Caen pulled out the stops, but Finkle matched eoen's every move. On lap three, Spear passed Pignotti, and Radulewicz moved into sixth. Ginolfi crashed. but he got up quickly and blistered the next lap to repass Hamilton for fifth. When the checkers flew, the order was Coen, Finkle, Spear, Pignolti and Ginolfi. In moto two, Ginolfi hammered into the lead, with Coen hot on his heels. Finkle, Spear, Pignotti and Radulewicz rounded out the top five. Coen immediately set out after Ginolfi, who had him covered. The two checked out in their own private duel, leaving Finkle to deal with Spear. First Spear passed _Finkle; then, half a lap later, Finkle repaid the it?
