The quest for second heated up between Matt Lynn and Mark Delano. Delano made a move out of turn 10 but got into a tank-slapper and lost distance as he got his Pirelli-backed Suzuki under control. He charged back and finally drove under Lynn in turn lOon the eighth lap and took second at the flag. Rojas took the win on his Pirelli-backed Suzuki. The race-long contest for fourth fell to Adam Durham. With the sun starting to peek out and temperatures in the mid-60s, the green flag flew to start the Open Superstock class. Mark Junge, on the Vesrah/Suzuki/Marshall GSX-Rl000, charged the first corner and led the first lap. Fritz Kling, on the Full Throttle Suzuki, ran with Junge. Robert Jenson, on a Butler Yamaha Rl, started his drive through the pack and started to catch T the leaders on the fifth lap. On the seventh lap, Jenson drove around Kling to claim second, but he ran out of time to catch Junge. Mark Crozier, on the No Limits Honda 954, finished fourth. "I just got the '03 last week." Junge said, "and only had time to set up the suspension and get it ready. (Lett) C.
