Cedar Rapids saw a lot of young talent taking home multiple trophies. Jed Seeman placed first in the 85cc Expert and 65cc (7 -11) classes on both nights. and he also placed first in the 85cc (7 -11) class on Friday and second in that class on Saturday. Brandon Dooley placed second in the 85cc (7-11) and 65cc (7-11) classes on Friday. and then he placed second in the 65cc (7 ·11) class and first in the 85cc (7-11) class on Saturday. Jake Harnish made a great showing in the 55cc (7-8) class on Friday night, flying around the track to finish first. David Stewart was hot on his tail and took second, and Kevin Goette took third. Saturday night brought a new rider to the class, and Mike Leonard took first, leaving second place for Harnish. Goette sped his way to third place again. Results Glen Helen Raceway Park: Revelle Harrison took top honors in the Over 30 Expert division at the SRA GP in San Bernardino, California. Harrison cruised to the checkers; McCall and Evans filled the remaining spots on the podium in second and third, respectively. Henn brought his Honda home in fourth. Dustin Evans/Max Eddy ao Trac Arena Kopp Simply Arresting at Pasco ST By JENNIFER WILSON PASCO, WA, JAN. 31·FEB. 1 Joe Kopp of Mica, Washington. was the big winner of the weekend at Checkered Flag Productions' Indoor Short Track races at the Trac 58 MARCH 5, 2003' c: U c: I ... Arena in Pasco, Washington. Kopp took control of the race when he took the lead on his KTM 450 SX on Friday night in the 250cc Open Pro class. He was followed by Dan Stanley, who came in second. Sam Halbert put on the speed and rode his Rotax to third place. On Saturday night. Kopp was burning up the track. and he crossed the line in first place. Jeff Russell followed closely to finish in second place. Halbert went home with the third-place money. Gary Moore fought his way to first place in the 250cc Open Amateur class on Friday night. Dustin Proczinski placed second, and Perry Tonsgard finished third. Mike Annen, who had placed fifth on Friday, stepped on the gas to take first place Saturday night. Annen took the holeshot and flew like the wind ahead of the pack. Shane Hudgins tried to catch up to Annen but ended up in second, while Vince Holt fought his way from fourth to take the third-place trophy. The Vintage class was an exciting event for Washington residents, as Woodville's Hudgins placed first on Friday night, beating Steve Power of Marysville on his 1979 Yamaha TT. Powers took second place, and Tonsgard grabbed third. Power was first off the starting line on Saturday night. and he held the lead throughout the race. He was chased across by Hudgins, who roared past the checkers in second. Steve Jungquist of Mount Vernon took third place. Results Friday 55 (4.6): I. Blake Hargens (KTM); 2.
