The first moto went to YZ400F rider Bill Russell, who pulled ~way from second-place fin- isher David Reed. Levi Woolverton, John W~shington and Jesse Penz rounded out the top five. When the gate dropped for the second moto. Woolverton came away with the holeshot, followed by Wally Ramirez, Reed, Russell and W~shington. Despite a fading clutch, Woolverton was pushing his RM 125 to the limits, trying to put some distance on a r~pidly approaching Russell. With only half a lap to go, Russell passed Woolverton in the air on the track's largest tabletop. Woolverton finished second, with Washington, Ramirez and Mark Mallet in tow.
