By lap five, Bemisderfer was now out in front by seven seconds, while Kern remained three seconds behind the second-placed Morris. The Cedar City, Utah, Loretta Lynn's qualifier was just another walk in the park for Hall. In another of his patented walkovers, he displayed dominance over a tough field in the 65cc Modified (7 -11) contest. Hall hooked the holeshot to lead Taylor Kellstrom, Landon Currier and the rest of the pack as round one fired up. Bryce Stewart and Ronnie Good· win soon jumped into the fray for the lead. When the pack sorted out on lap two, Hall had a healthy lead, followed by the hard-charging Currier, Kellstrom, Reis and Goodwin.
