On the two days immediately following Thanksgiving, the St. George Motocross Track, in conjunction with the Utah Sport Riders Association, puts on the annual Thanksgiving Motocross Classic. Kyle appeared to be the rider that might give his older brother the stiffest competition, should the two ever square off at the same time. The Partridges certa inly weren't the only ones competing in the Thanksgiving Classic. On Friday, the 60cc (9-11) class rolled out an impressive gate of 30 riders. Ronnie Goodwin led the big field into the chicane, only to St. George Motocross Track: Todd Gould was the Over be passed by KTM's 30 Intennediate winner on both Friday and Saturday at the Zachary Fussell. Goodwin St. George Thanksgiving Classic In St. George, Utah. uncorked his Thousand I Dick Yardley absconded with the holeshot, leading Jay Migliore and Steve Bott through the chicane. Migliore swooped into the lead while Steve Caple joined the lead pack. Migliore, a really fast old guy who also races in Over 30 Pro, opened up a quick lead. Konard Hardie was picking his way toward the front. Migliore was long gone, but Hardie and Caple battled right to the final turns, with Hardie claiming the runner-up spot. Migliore shot out in front of Yardley and Bryan DeMille to start race two. In less than a lap, Migliore left no doubt who was going to win race two, and the overall Over 40 title. Second place was a horse of a different color, however, as Yardley, Bott, Hardie and Caple were involved in a wild brawl that lasted for most of the race. When the dust cleared, Migliore was the overall winner in the Over 40 class. Bott survived the dust-up for second to claim second overall, ahead of Caple and Yardley. CN Carson (KTM); 3.
