He led his class around the REM track while his main rival, Rick Doughty, was relegated to spectator status after his Maico expired halfway through the race. Ed Tashjian, meanwhile, won the Ironman Evolution Amateur class. SVRG's top points earner in 2000, Ed Zornes, continued his winning ways at Glen Helen. Zornes rode his 1974 Yamaha YZ360 to a convincing win in the Pre-1975 500cc Expert class. He also came away with a win in the Vintage Over 40 Expert division. In his very first Vintage race, former Shoei helmet rep Marc Biro managed to keep his very clean Penton 125 running long enough to win the Pre-1972 125cc Novice class. eN APR I L 2 7 MAY 6 &len Helen Race••, Sn lIeram1Iino, ClIlifllmi.
