amaha-mounted Ted Hoyt was
back to his usual tricks on the
REM track at Glen Helen Raceway for
round three of the Southwest Vintage
Racing Group MX Series. Hoyt, a former CMC Pro regular, dominated
much of the day's racing action on
his pristine Yamaha YZ250. He aced
both the Evolution 2 and Evolution 3
Expert classes, extending his moto
win streak to six.
Another hot rider on the day was
Tom Boswell, who claim~d a pair of
wins, riding away from everyone in
both the Vintage Over 40 Novice and
the new Ironman Vintage Amateur
classes.
The Ironman class is new to the
SVRG this year, and it seems to be a
big hit. Devoted to all drum-brake
bikes, the Ironman class is basically
two I5-minute motos wrapped up
into one 30-minute-plus-one-lap
race. It's always the first race on the
day's agenda, so riders on a tight
