solid fourth in the first outing, blasted his way
into third. Papworth began to build a lead. The
fight for second was fierce, with Barnes and
Wallwork joined by Posey. Wallwork finally
fought his way into second on lap four, but
Papworth was long gone. Papworth breezed
across the finish to win by a large margin and
eam the overall 125cc Pro crown. Wallwork
took second for fourth overall. Barnes and
Posey new through the pipes in tandem, with
Bames getting the nod for third and pinning
second overall. Posey was fourth and third
overall.
The 60cc (7.11) class also featured a
monster gate. Ronnie Goodwin nailed the
holeshot to start race one, with Rudi Williams,
Clay Cutler and two dozen or so riders right
behind him. Cutler was making the early

Gamble Crashes In

On a day made for racing, Humboldt Sports
Center-sponsored Chase Gamble laid all his
chips on the table at Action Valley Raceway in
Paris, Tennessee. During practice, fellow
Suzuki pilot Michael Sanders and blue· bike
jockey Brian Huckstep stepped up to the table
and laid down their chips. What followed was
a prime example of five-card stud between
