"Operation HOPE is a nonprofit organization invo lved with taking care of children who. need somewhere to go afte r schoo l and on weekends. We feed them , help them wit h the ir schoolwo rk, provide cou nse ling , a nd offer positive activi ties for the m as an altern ative to hanging ou t on the stree ts, We also wo r k wi th loca l law enforceme nt and the juvenile court system to take in child ren tha t are crying out for help but can' t see m to find it. We've got a grea t bunch of kids . an d we have seen them turn away from the streets and d irect th eir in terest towa rd positive things th a t will enrich their lives if they'll just stay with them. In the areas w here we work, local law enforcement has no ted a 35-pcrcent decrease in juve nlle crime and delinque ncy.
