Jim Impor ts / Speed Tech-sponsored Scott Harper took the overall win and the po ints lead at
rou nd eig ht of the Forwa rd Motion Hare Scrambles Ser ies.

Creek ORV area at the John Redmond Reservoir,
1998 series cha mp Tom Klimm took the holeshot
on his WW Racing KTM 250. Harper put his
YZl25 in to second as he rounded turn one . Gas
Gas rid er Rand y Wl.ckley was thi rd.

Harper hounded Klimm for the first lap and
got by momentarily bu t then ove rshot a highspeed turn and gave Klimm back the lead. Harper cras hed a la p later , giv ing Klimm so me
breathin g room. On lap three, Klimm got out of
shape ne ar th e d a rn, w he re th ere wa s a small
rocky section . Klimm cartwheeled off the bike
and br o ke his rear-brake ca lip er. With Klim m
ou t of com mis sion, Harper enjoyed a huge lead .

own mishap.
"I was going around this lapper on the ou tside of a swe epi ng rum ," Harper explained . "He
. plow ed right in to me and took me out."
