Wood passed Rang on the opening lap as Johnson and Pedrero pulled away from the field. Johnson continued to lead, and he opened a five-second cushion over Pedrero during the next few laps. Pedrero, Gardner, Woods, Rang and Mike Stevenson ba ttled for the rUlmerup spot. Johnson held on for the win, with Pedrero, Gardner, Woods and Stevenson rounding out the top five. At the halfway point of the moto, Gardner and Pedrero were side by side as they approached the tabletop jump. As they flew through the air, the two riders bumped, sending Gardner to the ground and Pedrero off the track. Pedrero re-entered the course just in front of Butler, Rang and Stevenson. Pedrero held off the pack behind him to finish second to Johnson, who crossed the finish line with a seven-second cushion. Butler claimed third over Stevenson, who passed Rang on the final lap. Pedrero later returned to win the Over 25 class wi th a two-moto sweep over Cycle Riders teammate Jeff Lanlpe.
