quite a bit of distance between them.
The race for fourth became the race to
watch as Suzuki-mounted Ben Shank
got a good start but carried along some
baggage - in the form of Pestana and
Ryan. Pestana was the first to make his
way by Shank over the tabletop section.
Shank, however, was not about to give
up any more positions as he held off
Ryan. Unfortunately, the pressure from
behind must have gotten to Shank, as he
got a little out of shape and went down
over a newly planted comer jump. Ryan
seized the opportunity, along with
Northrop. ortmop soon began pressuring Ryan for the number-five position but ran out of time when the checkers ,!"aved. Brandes took the win,
followed by Holland, Willoh in a distant
third, Pestana and Ryan.
