Gores gets even at StarWest Motocross By Tony Alessi MORENO VAlLEY, CA, OCT. 26 After suffering his first defeat of the StarWest Fall Contingency Series, Chad Gores came back with a vengeance to score the overall Pee Wee championship on the main track during the finale held at StarWest Cycle Park. Armed with his highly modified R&D Racing Engine! AC-tuned Pee Wee, Gores lined up next to his nemesis and last week's winner, Mike LaPaglia. The two preteens rocketed off the gate side by side, footpeg to footpeg, both aiming for the sharp-left hairpin tum. LaPaglia's KTM got the jump, but Gores gassed it longer and braked later and got the holeshot. Gores and laPaglia battled closely during the opening lap, but Gores began to inch away. As the laps wore down, Gores enjoyed a huge lead and even had time to fall over in a tum and stin score a comfortable victory in the end. Gores also was unbeatable on the Pee Wee course, where he scored both Super Pee Wee and Modified A wins. Results Uttlt'Tnck STllTR (U~ I. AIm Ii
