Moreland the most at Dutch Sport Park Motocross By Ray Woods BLOOMINGDALE, MI, JUNE 15 Grant Moreland destroyed the competition in the very competitive Pee-Wee Senior class at Dutch Sport Park during round two of fjve of the Red Bud /Dutch Sport Park series. Cory Slavik gated first in the nearly allCobra field, with Rick Davis second and Moreland tltird. Larry Partin was holding down fourth and Adam Hardin running fifth. Moreland qukkly began to pressure Davis and Slavik as they entered the sand switchbacks just after the start, and Slavik responded by laying in down in the comer holding up Davis just long enough for Moreland to get around both of them. Da vis recovered to hold onto second as Slavik remounted for third. Partin and Hardin continued their race for fourth. On the fourth lap Davis grabbed big all off the tunnel jump, landing very hard and breaking his chain on rus Cobra and putting rum in tennis-shoe mode for. the remainder of the moto. A hard-<:harging Josh Radi now began to pressure Slavik, as Moreland did a disappearing act on everybody. Radi made Ns move on Slavik in the very tricky double-double section as the rest of the 6eld settled into their first-moto futishing positions. Moreland would take a very convincing first-moto win, with Radi second Slavik third Partin fourth and Harden fifth. At the start of the second mota Slavik again had the holeshot. Moreland would wajt Ws time to make rus move, as he set up Slavik approaching the step-up double. Moreland cleared the setup, leaping into the lead and leaving Slavik to deal with a very aggressive Radi. These two pulled out all the stops as they matched each other jump for jump and whoop for whoop. At the flag it would be Moreland with a 3lkecond lead, Slavik holding on for second, Ram third, Davis fourth and Partin fifth. Results 25+, r. Sa>tt 1Clrlert (linnt 3. Ch.rastophr Cummings (Kaw); 4.
