MILLVILLE, MN, JUNE 2
Heath Voss was victor in two the 16-to-24-yearold A and 250cc A classes at Spring Creek
Motocross.
At the start of the first 16- to 24-year-old Aclass moto, Junior Jackson put his YZ250 out in
front and never looked back as he pulled away.
Voss gated second off the start, followed by Lee
Erickson and Robbie Engstrom. James Povolny
got off to a poor start on his RMI25, but by the
third lap a three-way battle for third had developed among Erickson, Entgstrom and Povolny.
By the next lap Povolny displaced both Erickson
and Engstrom for third as Danny Edmonson
moved through the pack for fourth. At the finish
is was Jackson with a IO-second cushion on
Voss, who was about the same distance in rront
of Povolny in third as Danny and Billy Edmon-
son crossed the finish line in fourth and fifth. At
the start of moto two Jackson didn't show for
the start as Voss grabbed the lead followed by
Billy Edmonson, Engstrom, and Povolny. Povolny dumped his bike in the early going and
remounted in last, and Danny Edmonson displaced Engstrom in the sand wash part of the
track on lap one for third. With Vo s and Billy
Edmonson in first and second, Engstrom set out
after Danny Edmonson for third. Edmonson faltered, letting Engstrom by and falling to ninth
by moto's end. Engstrom went after Billy
Edmonson and passed him on the last lap. The
finishing order was Voss, Engstrom, Billy
Edmonson, Povolny and Mike Luyoma.
