Moody mighty at
Daniel's Ridge Motocross
By Mark Walker
TAYLORSvllLE, NC.MAY 11
Michael Mood y led the 125cc D class from the
dro p of the gate to the check ered flag at the new
Daniel's Rid ge Supercross track in Taylo rsville,
North Carolina.
At only his second Daniel' s Ridge race of the
se aso n th e you ng ri d er showed p romise o f
becoming a futu re top rid er. Mood y was chal lenged very little and sho wed grea t poise to pull
away and han g on for hi s second con secu tive
win.
The most exciting rid er of the d ay was th e
youngs ter Joey Garn es in the Senio r and SUpE'T
Mini classes. Joey took th e checke red flag in
both classes with the spee d an d agg ression of a
Pro-class rider. He's sma ll in statu re and weigh t
but rides big, very big. This young man is very
soft- spoken, well -m annered an d b less ed w ith
tons of talent. This could be the making of this
sport 's futu re top gun on and off th e supercross
circu it.
