APR. 21 Ove r .25Orid ers competed in the seven th roun d of the Sunshine Stale Championship Series held at Motocross of Marion Co un ty, where Jus tin Jackson posted a I-I tally to easily win the 15-to 24-year-old div ision. In the fir st mot o Jack son led the 19-rider field into tum one with Mike Bragg and Tra vis Willi s following. Jackson quickly p ulled a wa y for a huge lead over the rest of the pack. Meanwhile Ray Hansen and Clint Shealy were b at tling for the runner·up po sition after passing Bragg and Willis. Jackson flew across the finish line wi th a ls.second advan tage ov er Hansen and Sheal y. Jackson picked up where he left off in the first moto with Bragg, Willis and Shealy giving chase. Willis moved by Bragg on the opening circuit as Jackson disappeared. from his riva ls. Dan Newberry was on the move after a midpack s tart and sailed by Bragg on the double and closed in on ~ilIis. With one lap to go Jackson whipped his machine Sid eways over the jum ps as Newberry slipped by Willis in the last comer. Jackson cruised across the finish line to take the o'terall win on th e day with Newberry and Willis trailing behind. Shealy and Jeremy Shuttleworth rounded out the top five places.
