On lap two, Hamer's crank failed, giving the lead to Jacobs, who pulled away. Kraft claimed second over Grillo and Powell. Moto two saw Jacobs nab the holeshot and lead from start to finish. Grillo, Hamer (on a borrowed bike) and Kraft had a great battle for second, with Grillo holding off both riders until lap five. Kraft made the pass for second at the fUlish-1ine jump for second overall, over Hamer and Grillo. In the 250/500cc Modern Classic Masters class, Gary Koptak and Van Aderhold put their open-dass bikes out front, followed by Ed Garlin and Matt Kretschmer, Bil Burton and Marty Aderhold. Garlin passed Van Aderhold on lap two lor second as Marty Aderhold reco~ered from his bad start and quickly moved up to third, passing Burton, Kretschmer and his dad on lap two. Garlin would take a hard fall on lap five and drop down a lap. Koptak claimed the win with the younger and elder Aderholds, Kretschmer and Burton following. In the second moto, Garlin was able to sneak under the elder Aderhold in the flrst tum for the lead. Koptak moved past Aderhold a few turns later and pressured for the lead as Aderhold dropped back. Burton was doing all he could to hold off Kretschmer as the younger Aderhold came from dead last to grab fourth on lap five.
