win, once again beat a strong field of Expert riders. Those sent packing included Cinders winner
David Schutte, Parrish Traweek and the local
king of the small bores, CR125-mounted Jason
Maffey. Lennon was the third rider to do four
laps of the course.
Intermediate racer Craig Decker had
garaged his RM250 after trying a friend's
KX5OO, went out and bought one of his own,
then spanked the Intermediates. Decker led 25
other riders on a merry chase as he was the only
one in the class to do all four laps while finishing a super-strong 11th overall. As DeCker had
won the Beginner class at the Cinders, then
dusted the Sportsman at the subsequent
Snowflake race, which he followed by detivering
a beating to the tntrmediates at the Canyon
Raceway GP, he should be an Expert at the
December point-te-point event.
Not-so-young Tom Young had the race of his
year as he pushed the Cochise Cycle-backed
\'Z25O to a win over 18 other Over 40 riders. He
was the only one to complete the full race distance. Butch Odom was second ahead of Vintage
maven Tim "Bernie'" Curtis.
