the crafty Watkins, and doubled by in the tricky
baek-section step-up jump. On the fourth lap,
Mike Blair caught up with Watkins but was
unable to make the pass for third. At the checkered flag Bowen screamed his Pumpkin-colored
KTM in for the win, followed by second-placed

Collins, then Watkins, Blair, and Jason Frecker
in that order. .
The second moto was rather uneventful as
Bowen quickly established dominance 'over the
rest of the field and flew to the win, with the
other contenders repeating their first-moto finishes.
Even though his age is a carefully guarded
secret, Bowen opted to destroy the 25+ class,
winning both motos over Richard Robinson,
who finished a strong second place.
The action was fast and hot in the 125cc A
class too. Jason Frecker dialed in his Honda for a
nice holeshot in the first moto only to have
Tommy Collier slice inside to t:lke the lead, and
ultimately, the win. J.D. Collins had bad luck at
the st:lrt, but would eventuaJly work his way up
to second.
Honda-mounted Frecker railed around the
outside for the holeshot in moto two, with Scott
Watkins in second and Collier in third, Collier
pushed Watkins outside in the downhill comer
to take second, and set off after Frecker. By the
second lap, Collier moved past Frecker in the
woods section, and picked up the pace. Back in
the pack, Collins had been running at a furious
speed, and after passing Watkins and Frecker,
was on Collier's tail. After a lengthy battie,
Cullins overtook Collier with an aggressive
move. Unfortunately, Collins crashed hard in
the woods right after making the pass, handing
the win to Collier.
