Seyfferle sweeps
Lawrenceburg Dirt Track
By John SpurrIer
LAWRENCEBURG,IN, jUtY28
joe Seyfferle had a great night at the lawrenceburg Motorcycle Speedway, winning his 600cc
Pro-Am heat race, the 600cc Pro-Am feature and
the Over 30 feature.
Seyfferle got the holeshot in the Pro-Am feature and went wire-to-wire for his victory. Pat
Behrle was fourth off the line, pas ed Stev.e
johnson on the back straight, then passed john
Murphree on the second lap and set out for
Seyfferle. Behrle caught up to Seyfferle late. in
the race and tried to get by the leader with an
outside pass in turn two. The pass attempt
didn't work, however, and Behrle fell back several bike lengths to finish second.
Tony'Moore held the fourth spot until the~
halfway point when he bobbled coming out of
turn two, letting Ben Bellman and johnson past.
Moore then crashed, unhurt, in the middle of
back straight and everyone went by.
"
Tommy Hensler was able to overtake jo~
son on the eighth lap to finish fifth behind Seyf
ferle, Behrle, Murphree, and Bellman.
'f
Seyferrle immediately returned to the starting line for the Over 30 feature. When the light
went green he charged into the lead and went
on to win by a full straightaway over Wade
Summers, Mike Daniels, Phil Woll and Robert
Brown.
