Thin Airs Ryan Ferris stomped the competition
aboard his Yamaha, taking two moto wins for
the overall victory in the Pee Wee class when
Friday-night summer racing returned to Silver
State Raceway.
.
Ferris holeshot with seven other hard-charging Pee Wees as he conquered the jumps and
handled tabletops with ease. Jake Nueffer and
his K1M rode in second place along with Chris
Walton on a KTM. The three front-runners had a
great race going with Ferris riding perfectly out
front, having no trouble even through lapped
traffic. Over the huge tabletop finish jump, Ferris flew with the checkered flag awaiting him.
Second place belonged to Nueffer, third went to
Joel Grosskopf aboard hjs Suzuki. In fourth
place was Chris Walton and first-timer Wayne
Appleton Jr. landed fifth.
In moto two, the start went to Ferris again
with Walton not far behind. Grosskopf held on
to third and Walton again rode in fourth. Nick
Cohee rounded out the top five. Ferris topped
the field and continued to race his own race.
When the checkered flag was waved, Ferris had
the win with Nueffer not far off the pace in second. Walton bettered his first moto by one place
to get third overalL Fourth place went to
Grosskopf and Appleton put in a great first race
taking fifth place overall.
