22 riders took to the gale in the Pee Wee Beginner class with Maxwell Pope scoring both m o te
wins aboard his KTM, lollowed closely by Jake
Kapostins and Ge ra ld Maul din, also ab oard
KTMs. The 80cr Beginner class was forced to run
qu al ifiers to na rrow the field dow n to fil the 22gate starti ng line. The main went to Iesse Meirs
aboa rd his Honda wi th Yamaha- mo unted Kyle
Huebner getting s•xond followed by Yamaha
ride r David Frasier.

Even though the Night Owl Enduro does not
pay District 36 "Enduro Championship points, il
may be the most covetl.-d individual event of the
year for two reasons:
One, no rou te shcct is pro"idl-d. All speed
cha nges are given out on the trail, so timekeeping mus l be dene ml-ntally; and two, Key Time
is 8 p.m., so your lights beller work!
The end uro started with an easy-t~maln tain
12·mph ave rage lor the first three miles, where a
speed cha nge 10 18 mp h led to the first chl'Ck al
3.6 miles. Most riders had little trou ble zeroing
this chec k, but a lon g stre tch of IS-mph average
10 the seco nd check had riders bolh on lhe gas,
a nd either polishing old timekt.cp ing skills or
learn ing a new a ppreci~'t ion for computers and

Senior riders Carr and Bob Shannon, as well
