Honda factory conting ency .
Nea rly 500 rid ers from 13 states en joyed perfeet sp ring racin g weather a t MCR's AMA Suzuki Eastern Contine ntal MX Championships .
As expected, Brown headed the fields in the

In th e 125cc moto, Brown was fo llowed

Cleveland SX alon g with jim Chester, bo th earning top-10 finishes.
By the time the second moto came around,
Brown was pushing 36 hO U1~ without sleep, and
his reaction times may have been slowed somewha t. Wha tever the case, Brown got a mid pac k
start and was forced to work traffic to regain the
lead . Walker took the point position with Neese
and Lough glued to his rea r fender. Half a lap

Lough. At the end of lap three of the eight-circuit mo to, Brown was again in front and proceeded to s tre tch out a 1S-second lead over
Walker.
Neese stay ed close beh ind Walker, but slid

WaJker was first off the start in mo to two , wit h a
surprising compa nion, Tyler Carr. A scant six
months in to the A classes, Carr held onto fifth
place against fa r more experienced racers un til
the last part of the last lap .
"I got tired ," said Tyler. "We've been having
lots of rain and flood ing for the pas t month, and .
there hasn 't been any place to ride."
Meanw hil e, Brown, Lough an d Liles had
go tte n sq uee zed to th e midd le on the s ta rt.
Chad and Billy figured they'd let Brown go first,

CAMBRIDGE, MN, MAY20
Grand Na tional Champions hip dirt track vete ran Davey Durelle got off to a good start by winning the Open Pro class in convincing fashion as
the Dirt Track Rid e rs Ass ociatio n hosted the
opening round of the 1995 AMA District 23 racing season at Cambridge Speedway.
Teammat es Eric Brou hard and Billy Hoffmiester mad e the two Open Pro heat races seem
like a wa rm summer breeze, as they both cruised
to victory with relative case. But as far as Durelle
was co ncerned the forecast for the "Reynolds
Wrecking Crew" parade called for rain.
