Ballard was the top mini ride r at roun d two of th e Florida Motocross Series at Dade City Raceway, winning all four motos in the BOcc (12-13) an d Super Mini classes. In the first Supe r Mini moto Tyson Hadsell pulled the holeshot with Ballard, James Stewart, Troy Ada ms and Jesse Ada ms following. As the field en tered the back sand section, Ballard move d by Hadsell to take the top spot. Stewart then fell, letting the Adams brothers by as well as Ti m Ban tle , who then motored by Jesse . Adams. Ballard crashed in th e w hoops, an d Had sell flew by jus t as Ballard was remounting. Ballard followe d Ha dse ll for a lap before Had sell bobbl ed and let Ballard back into the lead . Ballard held on for the moto win ove r Had sell, Troy Adams, Bantl e and Jesse Adams. Moto two began with Ballard shoo ting out to th e early lea d ahead of Troy Adams, Jes se Adams, Stewart and Hadsell. Ballard quickly checked out fro m the competition and built a l0-sec0nd lead by the end of lap one. Hadsell followed Stewart for two laps before overtaking him in the whoop section for fourth. Troy Adams then fell in a tum. as Jesse Adams, Hadsell and Stewart slip ped by. Hadsell then set . his sights on Jesse Ad ams and made it by on the front s tr ai gh taw ay . By now th e Su zuki West l Perfonnance Engineering-backed Ballard enjoyed a 20-second advantage over Hadsell. Stew art mad e a lat e-race charge and pa ssed Jesse Adams to sit in the third pos ition. As the white flag ca me ou t, Troy Ad am s loo ked to move by his brother Jesse on the last lap. As the two hit the back se ection Troy out-jumped Jesse to take over fourth place. At the finish. Ballard scored the easy win. with Hadsell, Stewart Troy and Jesse Adams rounding out the top five. Willis was un touchable in the first 80cc mo to after he shook off an earl y challenge from Scott Ramos . Chad Gaumer inherited the runner-up spot wh en Ramos made a mistake and parted com pany with hi s moto rcycle.
