Motorsport Promotions and its founder Chao Kit Choong are offering road racers a chance to rent a Kawasaki ZXR750 on which to compete in the 1995 Mal aysian Superb ike C ha m p io nsh ip . The Kawasakis will be rented for $1740 per round - a price that includes bike rental, four nights accommodation in a hotel, one set of Michelin racing slicks, entry fee, championship fee, fuel, and transport to and from the race track. There wiII be six rounds, consisting of two, 12lap heats, held on four dates: April 9, July 2, October 1 and December 3. The overall cost for those who commit to racing in all the rounds will be $8105. If you're lucky enough to win every race, you could earn $14,200, according to promoters. The WERAIEBC Brakes Triple Crown will air onESPN 2 on February 4 at 1:00 a.m, (Eastern time) and aga in on ESPN on February 4 at 12:00 a .m . (Eastern lime). The Tr iple Crown consisted of races at Ind ianapolis Raceway Park, Portland International Racewa y and Road Atlanta. Jim Hickman of Hickman Racing in Des Moines, Iowa, is thankful that there was a round of the U.S. Supercross Series held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While Hickman, h is famil y and employees were attending the Minneapolis Su per cross, a two-seater aircraft crashed into the parking lo t of H ickman Raci n g, killing both the pilot and passenger. The Associat ion for Motorcycle Sport will not be a li g n ed with either the FIM or IRTA/TWP Promotions and will feature 125 and 250cc two-stroke classes, 400 and 600cc Supersport, 750 and 1000cc Supersport, Supermono, sidecars. and what a press release calls "prototypes." Zegwaard's group has issued a press release which begins with: "Over the past few years motorcycle sport in genera l, and in particular road racing, has been do minated by money and money only . This has caused a dramatic downfall at an ever-increasing speed of the sport itself and the organizations connected to i t."
