Fountain was hot wi th holeshots in bo th motes, ch ased by Derek Ge rd es in moto on e, w ho took over the lead on lap tw o in th e Tower Sweeper and led to the finis h. Moto two saw Fountain once agai n out front, but th is time Reed got the be tter of h im on lap three and took the mo to win. Fountain was able to claim th e overa ll with his cons istent 2-2 tally, while Reed grabbed seco nd overall with a 4-1. Oklahoma 's Chad Coo k took third overall with his 3-3 finish, w hile Gerdes finis hed fourth with a 1-5 score. The SOcc Senior age classes were also contro lled by Team G ree n Po wer w he n Team Green/Grapevi ne Kawasaki / MSR's Beau Boynton headl ined the overall in the (12-13) division w ith a 2- t fin ish over Suzuki-mounted Mark Thompson's 1-2 finish, Team Green /Clea r Lake Kawasa ki rookie Travis Elliott rode uncontested in the (14-16) group and took top honors wi th I I finis h. The 80cc Open div ision was green all over again, as Boynton stole both mo to holesh ots and le d th e class t h roughout b oth ra ces . Ellio tt p a ssed Foun tain over the Do Uy Doubles for third as they headed into the las t ha lf of the finaJ lap, and the n got around Thompson in the river bo tto m to chase Boyton to the checkered flag in second . Boynton ran o ut fro nt in moto two , with Elli o tt in second , foll owed by Heath Frazier. Elliott did all he coul d to get a line on Boynton, but Boynton held his ground an d did not relen t, ta k in g th e checkered flag first, foll owed by Elliott, Gerdes a nd Reed.
