Troccoli's JO( died in the middle of the track, and Hampshire added two seconds to his lead. Dehaan then had bike problems, while Shepard motored into third. Then, coming into the whoops, Wallin's chain snapped, giving Hampshire a huge lead. Shepard benefited from all the mechanical failures to take second behind Hampshire, and Dehaan re-entered the race a lap down to finish third. Hampshire won the overall, with Shepard's So2 score netting him second overall Hampshire had a busy night, finishing first in the 125cc A class, third in the 250cc A division and second in the Open Money, Open Am and 16-24 classes.
