another pass by blocking Kalin. Barnett added a
couple of seconds to his lead, as Semics passed a
fading Gardner. As the crowd came to their feet,
Barnett took the checkered with Katin, Semics,
Deguise and Gardner following.
In the tough Super Mini dass Mack Perry led
the first mota start to finish. With Perry out Iront
Tyler Laird, Brian Nielsen, Robert Farnell and
Clinton Shealy fought over second. Farnell
secured the position by the third turn, but
Honda of Ocala/Fox/List Designs/P]I-sponsored Perrry was long-gone. Farnell opened up a
lead on the rest of the field, as Laird, Shealy and
Andrei Boloni rounded out the top five places.
Before the second mota got underway Perry
fouled a plug, but made it back just in time to
lead Louis Lively, Boloni, Laird and Farnell into
the first turn. Farnell moved into second
halfway around the opening lap. Perry then fell
in a turn, giving Farnell the lead, but Perry
hopped back up and passed Farnell over Mount
Bithlo. Boloni took a hard crash, moving Shealy
into fifth. Perry started to pull away up front
until his spark plug came out on the final lap. As
Perry frantically screwed his plug back in,
Farnell came screaming by to take the lead and
the overall win. Laird, Lively, Shealy and Perry
finished out the top five. Perry's 1-5 mota tally
gave him third overall behind Laird.
