In th e Over 25 Novi ce clas s, Chris Scoggins
and Do nni e Mar graves battled over the win
me first mo to, with Margraves coming out
o n top . Dan T aylor and T od Day worked th eir
way through th e pack to cla im th ird a nd
fourt h, respectively.
The second mota saw Taylor in first p lace,
with Ronnie Hensarling in seco nd. On th e
checkered nag lap, Margraves sli p ped around
bo th of th em, and look the moto win leaving
seco nd and th ird to T aylor and Hensarl ing,
respectiv ely.

Jay H ershey scored the o vera ll victory in th e
25OccIO pe n Expert cla ss by scori ng perfect
I -I moto finishes a t the fourth ro u nd of the
CRA Spring Series at Am herst MX.
H ershey shot out into the lead to begin mo to
one wi th Shane Sm ith on hi s whee l. The d uo
were chased by Trevor Vin es, Greg Wheeler
and Harol d Rob in son. Hershey a nd Smith ra n
tire to tire as Sm ith took over th e lead to begin
la p two. Manud Arnold motored ahead of
Rob ison for fifth as Jason Balas began to pick
his wa y through the pack from his 12th place
start. Sm ith held the lead for three laps un ti l
he crashed H ersh ey in herited th e lead ahead
of Vines , Arn old , Wheeler and Ba las. Sntith
wa s up in rime to grab seventh beh i nd
Robison. It was smooth 'sa iling for Hershey
as the riders beh ind d iced for second. Vines
and Arnold ban ged bars fo r two la ps befor e
Arnold fell. Balas worked his way into third
and went to work o n Vines. Hershey took the
win three and a half seconds ah ead of Vin es.
Balas was less th an a bike len gth behind Vines
for th ird . Wh eeler and Arnold ro u nded O Ul
the to p five.
In mo to two, Hershey o nce again motored
_into th e lead th rou gh turn o ne wi th Vines ,
Robison, Wheeler and Smith. In lap four ,
Smi th motored around Rob ison, to lake third
followed by Balas. Wheeler got into trouble
and dropped ba ck to six th. Sm ith held third
briefl y until Balas passed him b r thi rd .
